these are the steps you just have to follow and you will not only able to solve the question but also gt a clear understanding abot the sectioning.
the steps we are going to use here is truly based on our youtube videos so kindly go through our youtube videos and then come here to to get a idea about he steps we will used while drawing.
step-1:-
first you have to draw top view as a hexagon of side of base 30 mm with one edge (ef) is parallel to the x-y axis.
project these points above the x-y axis to make corresponding front views
NOTE:-in such case always start construction with top view because only the top view will give you the true shape of the base of the hexagonal pyramid.
step-2:-project these points above the x-y axis to make corresponding front views
NOTE:-in such case always start construction with top view because only the top view will give you the true shape of the base of the hexagonal pyramid.
draw a horizontal section plane parallel to the x-y and 30 mm above the base.
horizontal section plane-a section plane which is always parallel to the x-y axis .
step-3:-
mark the points where the section plane cuts the edges of hexagonal pyramid
eg:- point 1',2',3',4',5' and 6' cuts the edge o'a',ob',o'c',o'd',o'e' and o'f' respectively.
step-4:-
project these setion points (1',2',3',4',5' and 6') on corresponding edges in top view and finally join these points to get a sectional top view of the cube
horizontal section plane-a section plane which is always parallel to the x-y axis .
step-3:-
mark the points where the section plane cuts the edges of hexagonal pyramid
eg:- point 1',2',3',4',5' and 6' cuts the edge o'a',ob',o'c',o'd',o'e' and o'f' respectively.
refer the figure given below
step-4:-
project these setion points (1',2',3',4',5' and 6') on corresponding edges in top view and finally join these points to get a sectional top view of the cube
